If you have done any recent searches on new MLM companies or home based business opportunities you have probably come across the TVI Express (Travel Ventures International) opportunity. TVI Express is not new to the travel and tourism industry, but has been getting an extreme amount of buzz in network marketing and MLM circles. What I am going to do with this review is separate the hype from the facts and you can decide whether or not TVI Express will be a flash in the pan opportunity or a company that will be able to sustain its current success and popularity.
Is TVI Express a Pyramid Scheme? I thought that I would start off with this to get the review going, because I know that is one of the main questions on a lot of people's minds.
The definition is a business model that involves recruiting people into a so called opportunity through an exchange of money with no product or service being delivered.
The service and product that TVI Express provides is access to a dynamic travel membership. Membership owners are able to book flights, vehicles, hotels, and cruises at discounted prices. Members also get a 6 day 7 night vacation to the destination of their choice which includes a free return flight for one when they join. So, I feel comfortable in saying that this is not a pyramid scheme or cash gifting program.
TVI Express is a UK based company which has been doing business globally in countries through Europe and Asia and was introduced to the US and Canada in early 2009. In their first 6 months, they have skyrocketed to almost 200,000 members, which is unprecedented in the the MLM industry.
To join TVI and start your business opportunity, you submit your $250 payment. Actually the cost will be close to $300 if you are in the US due to credit card , bank wire fees and exchange rates. Once you submit your payment, you will receive an official website along with a back office to run and organize your business. There you will find your access to the travel membership site and access your free vacation. There are no monthly fees involved with TVI Express, which is a definite plus and pretty much makes the business opportunity a risk free venture. If you decide the business is not for you then you walk away having paid $300 for a 7 day vacation with a free return flight.
The business opportunity is built around you recruiting just 2 people into the business. Once you become a TVI Express Distributor, you are placed on the Traveler Board. When you cycle off the Traveler Board, you are paid $500 ( $250 in cash and $250 in an eVoucher). You are then placed on the Express Board. When you cycle off the Express Board, you are paid $10,000 cash and $5000 in an eVoucher for future vacations. When you are cycled off the Express Board, you are placed on another Express Board and the process repeats.
When I first heard about TVI Express, I really paid it no mind. As I am a network marketer I hear of new companies and so called pre-launch opportunities every day. As the company started to grow, Idecided to take a closer look. Their business model is unlike any other company that I have seen in the industry, which can be a good and bad. It's good in that it makes them unique, however, when a company has a business structure that is this different, it can be meet with a lot of skepticism. Ultimately, I think TVI Express will do very well because of its revolutionary compensation plan. Since it revolves around every Distributor only having to recruit 2 people, I foresee many being successful in this business with no prior marketing experience.
